I have been in my position since 2012.

In my position I am responsible for all resident issues. I have, in the past, also attended to undergraduate affairs.

My program consists of 46 residents and 82 full-time faculty at all three hospitals.

My idea of a perfect day is CaRMS interview day - I love all the happy, hopeful faces. Otherwise a stat holiday is a real winner!

I think of myself as a positive person with an awesome skill set and an amazing work ethic. I work best when I am super busy and I am extremely invested in adult education including curriculum development, facilitation and delivery. I have completed my BAdEd and will be doing my Masters of Adult Education.

My favorite part of my job is following residents from their first days as hesitant newbies to their last days as confident professionals, because it allows me to add a new person to my rolodex of meaningful people in my life.

Quick Facts:

  • The  Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine Program has 46 residents and every year we add 7 new faces
  • I have handled UGE in my department as well as PGE
  • In my program, we use one45 AND a new program called VENTIS that we just rolled out this year. It takes care of all clinical and academic scheduling, learner assessment, vacation and leave tracking and verification of all RCC specialty training requirements
  • My strengths are organization, SOPs, wordsmithing, form building, career, professional and personal development
